Boulder Alchemy The kitchen that really cooks

Sometimes the key to a space isn’t one special thing. It’s every special thing. It’s the alchemy, the magic if you will. The design for this space in Boulder provided a unique challenge for us: The owner was selling it and needed our help to impress even the pickiest of house hunters. So marrying clean modern lines with a wink to its craftsman roots, and stretching the budget like a yoga master, we looked into our magic mirror and settled on the key ingredients: a kitchen that laughs at compromise. Overflowing with details; custom walnut cabinets (because plain oak is…well… plain), a stunner of a Taj Mahal quartzite waterfall island complete with a Kelly Wearstler linear pendant… (did someone say magic?) and created a kitchen that not only looks amazing but can handle any culinary storm be it a dinner party with friends or a large family gathering. But the mirror mirror on our wall told us to not stop at the kitchen… so we gave the bathroom a full makeover, squeezing a luxurious shower system into a cozy space (will the powers of design imagination ever cease?) And for the kiddos we created a bathroom that’s both fun and functional –  ABRACADABRA! Serene colors and enough storage to keep the chaos of living at bay.

Like pulling an imaginative, inventive, highly valuable rabbit from a rather plain, aging hat… the space was now ready to go on the market!
