Colorado Cool

Riddle me this? How do you “renovate a space completely” without being able to renovate it at all? What? Impossible…. without new construction… impossible without popping out a wall! Impossible without raising a ceiling!

Actually… as the great ambidextrous swordsman Inigo Montoya from The Princess Bride once said:

“You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.”

Challenging, yes. Impossible? Nah. And we here at Paull Interiors do love a challenge.

A strict budget and tighter timeline meant doing a complete makeover of the great room, bedrooms, and outdoor area without construction of any sort. We embraced a savvy use of decor and design imagination while leaning into the Colorado aesthetic the client liked. The color palette drew from the existing stone at the fireplace, and brought to mind the Rockies. Mountain inspired artwork organically connects each room of the house. Other accessories, from the pillows and rugs, to the paint on the wall, were infused with the strength of the earth (wood and burnt reds and oranges) and the fresh air of the Colorado sky (light blues and silky grays).

The outcome? A harmonious and rejuvenated Colorado home. Cool and comfortable.

Mission impossible… became mission accomplished.
