Fun… Loving - Featured in Colorado's Best Kitchens

When we arrived a bungee cord was being used to hold the oven door closed…  I kid you not. 

On paper the job was a straightforward kitchen renovation in Erie. But that’s the thing… none of our clients have ever lived “on paper.” They’re all unique, with their own particular hopes and dreams. We quickly found out that their kitchen, (which the Merriam Webster dictionary website defines as “a place with cooking facilities” ) was much more than that. Yes, they cooked and baked there, but they did it together. They did homework there together. They had fun there, together. The kitchen was the centerpiece of their family community that nourished them both literally and spiritually. 

Did I mention a bungee cord was being used to hold the oven door closed??? 

Our client told us about the endless time and boundless energy his wife happily put into making their meals and how important it was that she had a special space she would love to be in.  

Creating a special place that she would love to be in… where this fun loving family could gather, share and grow together.   That was the job. Not a kitchen renovation. 

And us being us we also included two working oven doors.
