Dream house… we hear the phrase bandied around quite a bit in the design industry. 

But in our client’s case, he really, truly, deeply wanted us to help him make the house he had been dreaming of from all the way back in New Zealand into a reality here just outside of Steamboat Springs. 

But here’s the truth. Dream houses are prickly, mercurial creatures. Full of things you think will work in your head, and pressures and expectations you didn’t even know you had until you actually start trying to build a thing that had previously only lived in your imagination. 

That’s where we came in. Bringing expertise, style, panache, and our trademark sense of humor to the very fragile process of building one said dream house. Our client wanted blue, wood and concrete. “I’m a boy. I like that stuff”, he would say. We saw him the wood and the concrete and raised him rift cut white oak, heated concrete floors with hand rubbed steel accents and massive floor to ceiling windows with 360 views of the ever so blue sky and Stagecoach reservoir.

How’s that for blue.
